It is perhaps not surprising that Travis DiNicola would use the word “indefatigable” in announcing his departure as executive director of Indy Reads. Not to describe himself, mind you, but a colleague.After all, words are his specialty. DiNicola has championed literacy in Indianapolis for a decade, leading local nonprofit Indy Reads in its mission to improve the reading skills of adults and families in Central Indiana.”After 10 years as the executive director of Indy Reads (and 20 years in Indianapolis), I will be leaving my position later this summer. My wife, Michelle, and I will be moving to Harrisburg, Penn., to be closer to our families and to pursue new career opportunities,” DiNicola said in a statement Thursday.Michelle DiNicola, who works at IndyStar, has been named digital director for Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection.
