The autobiography entitled “Family, Friends, and Country” is a collection of memoirs by Madame Nguyen Thi Binh, born 1927, who led the Vietnamese negotiating team at the Paris Peace Accord which was signed in 1973. She was the first Foreign Minister of Vietnam and then served as Vice President from 1992 to 2002. Her collection of memoirs is considered a tribute to her comrades and folks who laid down their lives in the national resistance wars to liberate and reunite Vietnam, as well as international friends who supported Vietnam during those wars.
