Alexandre Lacazette is in contention to feature against Sheffield United when Arsenal return to Premier League action on Monday night. The striker has been sidelined with an ankle injury for the past six weeks after limping off against Tottenham at the start of December. However, Arsenal are undefeated in his absence with eight points from four Premier League matches while they also secured a thumping 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup and have enjoyed a perfect start to their Europa League campaign. Lacazette has now returned to training and will hope to feature against the Blades this weekend, although he may not come straight back into the starting XI. Manager Unai Emery has promoted academy graduate Bukayo Saka into the first team and is likely to select the 18-year-old on the left wing once again. Nicolas Pepe should start on the opposite flank in support of lone striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang while Dani Ceballos is likely to occupy the No 10 role. Mesut Ozil is fit and available but remains out of favour under Emery while Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson are both doubtful.
