Born and raised in Fiji, he was a talented athlete at school – excelling in sprints and the high jump – making his mark in rugby after moving to New Zealand at 17. Starting out with Waikato, he was drafted in by the Crusaders and topped the try scoring charts in Super Rugby this year, crossing 15 times from the wing.
