Liverpool will discover their 2019 FIFA Club World Cup fate as the draw is made in Zurich today. The Reds qualified for the competition for the first time since 2005 as a result of beating Tottenham to win the Champions League crown. The six-time European champions finished runners-up to Sao Paulo back in 2005 and will now look to go one better in Qatar in December in their quest for more silverware. Jurgen Klopp’s side will enter the competition at the semi-finals stage, alongside the winners of the Copa Libertadores, who will not be decided until the South American competition ends in November. The AFC Champions League winners from Asia are also yet to be confirmed – but the other four teams in the seven-team competition have been decided. The Reds will be joined by Mexican side Monterrey, Tunisian outfit Esperance de Tunis, hosts Al-Sadd and New Caledonian side Hienghene Sport. The latter two sides will face off on the only first round match, with the winners advancing to join the remaining sides on the second round of the competition. Liverpool will play only two games, the semi-finals and either the final or third/fourth play-off depending on their first result….
