Before Meghan Markle became one of the most famous women in the world, the Duchess of Sussex stole hearts as the feisty paralegal Rachel Zane on Suits. While she sadly left the show prior to marrying Prince Harry in 2018, she starred on the show for seven years. Now, the TV series has made a charming reference to her in the latest episode. In the episode, Markle’s onscreen husband Patrick J. Adams is asked how Rachel is doing by other characters. In response, Adams says, “If I told you how good, you probably wouldn’t believe me.” The show tweeted out a GIF of the scene on their official Twitter account, which they captioned, “Turns out Rachel is doing REALLY well.” The tweet was accompanied by a winky face emoji. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that it was a meta reference to Markle’s fairytale wedding to Prince Harry, as well as the amazing things she’s recently achieved, including highlighting incredible women in a guest-edited issue of Vogue and promoting charity work on an international level.
