We are well and truly into transfer season as clubs look to make signings and improve their squads for next season. Bristol Rovers have already been linked with a number of players, with manager Graham Coughlan saying he would like to make some signings early in the window. Jay Lynch (AFC Fylde) Position: Goalkeeper Age: 26 Rovers were this week linked with AFC Fylde goalkeeper Jay Lynch, who is out of contract at the National League side. The Gas are in need of two goalkeepers after letting Sam Slocombe and Adam Smith leave this summer. They are in talks with Jack Bonham, having had him on loan last season, but would also need a back-up choice. Yet there is so much competition for Lynch – Peterborough, Barnsley, Bury and Plymouth Argyle are all linked – that it seems he has his choice of clubs, and he may not wish to be a number two.
