Doing a mock draft prior to the NFL Combine, before the interview process, before the NFL free-agency period and before the 20 or so NFL Pro Days on the docket seems kinda silly. Let’s face it. Between now and April 22, a handful of prospects are going to have run-ins with the law, a few will fail drug tests, several veteran starters are going to be released and Al Davis is going to interview 10-15 guys for the already occupied Raiders head-coaching position. In short, a lot can (and will) change between now and Draft Day. But for fan bases of 30 NFL teams, the draft is not what’s “next” on the agenda; it’s what’s now. So let’s dig in.
