Land Rover is hosting its biggest public event yet this weekend as part of plans to mark its 70th anniversary celebrations. The first ever Land Rover Fest will see the Coventry car maker open its Lode Lane plant to the public and take over Solihull town centre in partnership with Solihull BID with a host of events. The high point is on Saturday when a cavalcade of classic Land Rovers makes its way from the Lode Lane factory to Mell Square in the town centre. A special Land Rover Experience off-road driving course has also been created in Tudor Grange Park for visitors so they can experience the 4×4 capabilities of vehicles. And the kids needn’t miss out either – there are also mini off-roaders for youngsters to try. What else is on? Land Rover Fest takes place across Solihull town centre from Friday June 22 until Sunday June 24, featuring rare vintage models, an enthusiasts’ area for 4×4 fans, street food stalls, driving experiences, outdoor cinema and family entertainment.
