Oklahoma City Thunder: Recapping The Year 2021

With schedules being unorthodox, the league calendar was one of the most unique we had ever seen. For the Oklahoma City Thunder, 2021 encapsulated the final 68 games of their 2020-21 season as well as the first 35 games of their 2021-22 season. In just 365 days, the team has been through many changes, most of which were in pursuit of having a more successful rebuild. Let’s look back at what was an exciting year for the Thunder. Entering 2020-21 Season The Thunder began the 2020-21 season with an extremely young roster. In fact, early in the season Oklahoma City rolled out one of the youngest starting lineups in NBA history. The team was ran by first-year head coach Mark Daigneault. In the early part of the season, the team actually exceeded expectations, hovering around .500 for the first quarter of the season.
