The first was for the non-scripted idol survival show I-Land and the second for the 2020 TV drama It’s Okay To Not Be Okay , starring Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Yea-ji. The awards are presented by The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, a non-profit organization based in New York City. Founded in 1969, the organization features a membership of entertainment figures from more than fifty countries. The Academy recognizes excellence in television programming produced outside of the US and presents the awards to programs in sixteen categories, including Non-English Language U.S. Primetime Program. It’s the second time CJ ENM was nominated, as they received a non-scripted entertainment nomination in 2016 for the musical program I Can See Your Voice, which has since been adapted and shown in several other countries . Produced by CJ ENM, the survival show I-Land gathered millions of votes globally for each episode and ultimately resulted in the creation of the k-pop band Enhyphen.
