Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is frustrated with how the club have started the season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Woodward appointed Solskjaer on a temporary basis last December after sacking Jose Mourinho. The Norwegian was supposed to bridge the gap to the summer when United would welcome in a new coach to thrust them back into title contention. Fourteen wins from seventeen games convinced Woodward to appoint Solskjaer permanently, though, on a three-year contract. Since then, United have won just four Premier League games and currently sit two points away from the relegation zone before facing league leaders Liverpool on Sunday. Word from the club is that Solskjaer’s job is not at risk despite claims he fears the axe should United lose heavily to their arch rivals.
