Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted at an impending move for Juventus star Mario Mandzukic. Express Sport understands the Red Devils have struck an agreement with the forward’s camp that will see him make the move to Old Trafford when the transfer window reopens this winter. Manchester United came close to signing the Croatia international back in the summer but time, ultimately, was against them. Solskjaer has now opened up on the Red Devils’ plans for January and hinted at Mandzukic coming in by expressing an interest in signing an experienced player or two. “January is a difficult window, anyway,” the 46-year-old told Sky Sports when asked about United’s stance. “But if there are players available and at the right price, I’m sure we will spend. “There might be some experienced players who can come in and help the younger players – that might be worth the money. “So it depends on who is available. I’m not going to go down the route of bringing players in on big contracts and big fees if they’re not the right ones for the whole group and for the future.” While Mandzukic may come in, Solskjaer could be on the way…
