As members of the Royal Family, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are expected to fly the flag for Britain in all that they do – and their closely-watched wardrobe choices are no exception. But while Kate Middleton, 37, regularly supports UK-based designers on her public outings, Meghan Markle, 38, takes a more international approach, stepping out in labels from around the world. Analysis by FEMAIL reveals how more than half the 141 pieces worn by the Duchess of Cambridge so far this year have been from British designers, compared to 24 per cent of the 112 worn by her sister-in-law on public engagements in 2019. Meghan has worn head-to-toe UK labels on two occasions, or 6 per cent of her outings, while Kate has worn a complete British look on 14 occasions, or 27 per cent of her engagements.
