Why isn’t Sergio Aguero playing in the FA Cup final? PEP GUARDIOLA has named his starting XI for the final against Watford – but there’s no place for the prolific Aguero. Despite knocking in 32 goals this season, the Argentine starts the game amongst the subs. Aguero suffered an ankle injury against Tottenham back in April and it caused him to miss the Premier League win over Cardiff City. And he also didn’t feature in the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton.The 30-year-old has since returned to full fitness and has two goals in his last two matches, including in City’s 4-1 win at the Amex which sealed the title. There’s been no reported injury scares for the striker this week in the run up to the final, with the decision to leave him out seemingly down to the manager. Pep has instead chosen to keep faith with the forward that fired City to the final, with Gabriel Jesus leading the line….
