PennLive/The Patriot-News today is honoring some of central Pennsylvania’s top high school seniors.The Best and Brightest Class of 2019 includes 20 students from Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster and York counties.We received 194 applications. This year’s class includes athletes, musicians, Scouts, scholars, volunteers and people who genuinely care about others.To be eligible, students had to have a least a B or 3.0 grade point average. They had to attend a public or independent high school or be home-schooled or attend cyber school in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry or York county. Selection was based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and service to school, peers and community as well as an autobiographical essay and two letters of recommendation.
