Prior to the Super Bowl LIII kickoff, R&B duo Chloe x Halle delivered a pristine rendition of “America the Beautiful” in their hometown of Atlanta on Sunday night (Feb. 3).Matching in all-black, letting their falsettos ring out and clasping hands at the end, the sisters preceded Gladys Knight, who sang the national anthem at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi are scheduled to perform during halftime.Next Sunday, Chloe x Halle will compete for best new artist at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, along with best urban contemporary album for their 2018 debut The Kids Are Alright. The full-length was released on Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment label after the superstar discovered the duo on YouTube.Leslie Odom Jr. performed “America the Beautiful” at last year’s Super Bowl, preceding an Eagles-Patriots showdown.
