5 December 2018 • 10:06pm The ‘virus’ Paul Pogba was dropped to the bench by Manchester United but it was ever more feverish as they slugged it out to a bruising draw against Arsenal. Tyson Fury was in the stands and this was another fierce, crazy, chaotic contest and while Jose Mourinho’s team showed fight to come back twice from being behind, they yet again failed to win. A draw, for once though, is something for them to cling onto while Arsenal extended their unbeaten run to 20 matches in all competitions and will come away feeling they should have done so with a first win here since 2006. Still, in the cold light of day, United remain eight points off the top four. There have been so many mistakes, own goals and blunders from United this season that it was in keeping they fell behind through another. The shock was it came from the one constant, dependable player in their squad: David De Gea. Midway through the first-half Arsenal won a corner, taken by Lucas Torreira and met by Shkodran Mustafi who threw himself to head down into the turf.
