Jakarta (ANTARA News) – Indonesia is on the path to becoming a developed and prosperous country, according to US Ambassador to Indonesia Joseph R. Donovan Jr. “Currently, Indonesia is progressing towards an open, prosperous economy. The year 2019 will be a major milestone for both our countries, as we will mark the 70th anniversary of US-Indonesia diplomatic relations,” Donovan Jr. stated at the US-Indonesia Investment Summit 2018 here on Thursday. This year-long celebration will offer an opportunity to not only highlight our past achievements but to also look forward to the next seven decades of US-Indonesia ties. “In the years to come, we aim to strengthen our relationship based on the foundation of our shared belief in democracy, respect for human rights, and the promotion of peace, stability, and economic prosperity,” he stated.
