The 2016 Cannes Film Festival gets underway today with a swarm of jet-lagged but hungry buyers, and plenty of product for them to evaluate, in every genre. What follows is a list of the titles that are on the minds of buyers and sellers. There are a couple of finished films playing in the festival, but most of what will bring the big sales here are titles that either come to show a few minutes of footage, or pre-buys of packages that are assembled but haven’t yet started production.
