As if the prospect of being crowned champions of Europe isn’t mouthwatering enough, the Spanish champions elect will be further motivated by the prospect of knocking bitter rivals Barcelona off their perch by relieving them of both their domestic and European titles, while recapturing the European Cup on the home sod of the Allianz Arena would send the players and fans of Bayern Munich into Gary Neville-esque levels of scoregasmic rapture and excitement. Tonight’s match is being staged at Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium and is beautifully poised.
